King Felipe VI of Spain (wearing the Royal Military Order of St. Hermenegild) was joined by Queen Letizia as he presided over the Annual Armed Forces Day ‘Día de las Fuerzas Armadas’ at the Plaza de la Lealtad in Madrid on May 29th, followed by the King visiting the Headquarters of the General Staff, to hold a videoconference with different military units. Armed Forces Day dates to 1978 when the national festival was established to pay homage to the Army, Navy and Airforce.
