The Wedding of the Duke of Hohenberg, a grandson of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, and Princess Elisabeth of Luxembourg, the eldest daughter of Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg and Prince Felix of Bourbon-Parma (wearing the Vine Leaves Tiara), at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Luxembourg on this day in 1956. Royal attendees included Empress Zita of Austria, Archduke Otto and Archduchess Regina von Habsburg, the Prince Albert of Belgium and Princess Isabelle d’Orleans. The couple had two daughters, Princess Anita, who inherited Schloss Artstetten, and Princess Sophie, and the Duke died in 1977, while Princess Elisabeth passed away in 2011.
