Luxembourg State Visit to Denmark, 2003

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark hosted Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa of Luxembourg on their State Visit to Denmark on this day in 2003. After a Welcome Ceremony, Queen Margrethe (wearing the Pearl Poiré Tiara and the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau) and Prince Henrik (in the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau) hosted a State Banquet in honour of Grand Duke Henri (wearing the Order of the Elephant) and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa (in the Aquamarine Bandeau Tiara and the Order of the Elephant) at Fredensborg Palace. Crown Prince Frederik (wearing the Order of Adolphe of Nassau) and Mary Donaldson (just days after their engagement), Prince Joachim and Princess Alexandra (in the Alexandrine Drop Tiara), and Princess Benedikte (wearing the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Fringe Tiara) were also present.

The second day of the visit included a Reception at the Copenhagen City Hall, which was followed by a Concert hosted by  Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa (wearing the Chaumet Pearl and Diamond Choker Tiara) for the Danish Royal Family (who did not wear Tiaras) at the DR Koncerthuset.
