The Wedding of Princess Beatrice, the youngest daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and Prince Henry of Battenberg at Whippingham Church on the Isle of Wight on this day in 1885, followed by a Reception at Osbourne House. There was a variety of Royal Guests and Relatives from around Europe in attendance. The couple had four children, including Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain, and continued to live with her mother, the Princess remaining her full-time confidante and secretary, and were married until his death in 1896. Princess Beatrice died in 1944.
