Featuring 16 modern-cut round diamonds, 12 navette diamonds, and 10 pear-shaped diamonds set in platinum, these Van Cleef & Arpels diamond flower earrings were a gift from Prince Rainier to Princess Grace to mark their 1st Anniversary in 1957, and quickly became favourites.

The Van Cleef & Arpels Earrings  were frequently worn by Princess Grace for all manner of events, including the most formal gala occasions, often paired with her Diamond Tiara, black tie events, and even some daytime events. After her untimely death, they went into the ‘Palais Princier Collection’.

In recent years, the Van Cleef & Arpels Earrings have been displayed alongside many of Princess Grace’s jewels, and have been worn by her elder daughter, Princess Caroline, though I have yet to find photographic evidence. They were most recently seen on her daughter-in-law, Tatiana Casiraghi, at the 2019 Rose Ball.
