The Duke of Cambridge started his visit at the Anzac Day Civic Service at the Auckland Museum, remembering the servicemen and women of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who served their nation in times of war. Later in Christchurch, along with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, the Duke met Alen Alsati and her father Wasseim, who are recovering in Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland after being injured in the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack, as well as the key operations Police staff and St Johns ambulance staff. At the end of the day, the Duke of Cambridge met Muslim community leaders in Christchurch to thank them for their work bringing the community together following the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack.
