French State Visit to Denmark

President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron of France are on a 2-Day State Visit to Denmark, where they are hosted by the Danish Royal Family. The Royal Family has numerous links to France, not least the French-Born late Prince Henrik and Princess Marie, as well as the family’s summer home, the Chateau de Cayx. Click HERE to take a look at the last French State Visit to Denmark.

  1. There’s a lot to take in from this visit. The morning dresses were very excellent, especially Queen Margrethe’s. That silhouette in that subtle print looks marvelous on her- not to mention her beautiful vintage turquoise brooch. The evening gowns were also very excellent, and this time I think the standout was Princess Benedikte. She always looks so elegant and so well put together. Queen Margrethe was also very beautiful in her mauve gown and she adorned herself with one of her best tiaras and one very beautiful brooch from the Danish ruby collection. I was a bit disappointed in Mrs Macron’s dress, though. I know she likes simple, modern lines, but this dress lacked the panache of the French haute couture it could have had. In a word, it was way too plain. But the real surprise of the evening without a doubt was Princess Marie’s new tiara! After ten years of using only one tiara (except the one time she wore the Danika amethyst tiara), I was delighted to see that she now has another option. And it has colored stones! That’s an added bonus. I can’t wait to read more about this new acquisition!
