The Danish Royal Family hosted a Gala Dinner for the Danish, Faroe Islands, & Greenland Governments at Christiansborg Palace on this day in 2004, 20 years ago, ahead of the Wedding of Crown Prince Frederik and Mary Donaldson.

The Gala Dinner was hosted by Queen Margrethe for Officials from the Danish, Faroe Islands, and Greenland Governments at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, two days before a Gala Performance at the Royal Theatre on the eve of the Wedding of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and Mary Donaldson.

Queen Margrethe wore a green gown with the Danish Emerald Parure, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and the Order of the Dannebrog. Prince Henrik and Crown Prince Frederik wore White Tie with Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and the Neck Badge of the Order of the Dannebrog. Mary Donaldson wore a pale blue Malene Birger gown with the Danish Ruby Parure (for the first time) and the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant.
