King Juan Carlos walked his eldest daughter up the aisle of the magnificent Seville Cathedral.

The couple took their vows in a Roman Catholic Ceremony. The whole wedding, the first Spanish Royal Wedding in Spain in 89 years, was heavily influenced by Andalusian culture, on the recommendation of her grandmother, the Countess of Barcelona.

Afterwards, the newlyweds rode through the streets of Seville in a carriage.

  1. I was so sad when I read about their divorce. I thought they made such a nice couple. Everybody looked very good in this wedding.
