Swedish Royal Wedding Dresses Exhibition
Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, and Princess Sofia of Sweden attended a preview of a new Swedish ‘Royal Wedding Dresses 1976-2015′ exhibition at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on October 17th. The exhibition, which features the Wedding Dresses of the Queen and Swedish princess, marks the 40th wedding anniversary of King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia. “Royal Wedding Dresses 1976-2015” begins at the Royal Palace on 18 October 2016 and runs until 12 March 2017.

King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, one of the longest-reigning monarchs in history, died on October 13th in Bangkok. The beloved monarch, regarded as semi-divine by the Thai people, reigned during a period of great change for Thailand. However, after his death, the future of the monarchy is uncertain in Thailand, as Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn has unexpectedly said he was not ready to take the throne, and asked for some time to mourn with the Thai people before his appointment as King.
