HM Queen Elisabeth II visited Ballater on September 27th to check how the area is recovering after being devastated by Storm Frank in December. She met local emergency personnel and visited a few sites that were affected by the storm.
The Queen visited HM Sheridan Butchers, and was shown around the recently reopened Ballater Golf Club. She also met the emergency personnel to hear about the ongoing recovery effort following severe Storm, and chatted to locals.
The Queen wore a teal coat and hat. She also wore pearl stud earrings, a single strand pearl necklace, and Queen Victoria’s bow brooch.
