Prince Charles and Princess Anne joined the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh for a Holiday at Balmoral Castle on this day in 1952, during their first Holiday after the Queen’s Accession to the Throne, and quite a contrast to the previous year’s holiday at Balmoral. The Royal Family also hosted the King and Prince Regent of Iraq during their stay.
