Schedule
- Ceremony at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens (5 pm)
- Reception at the National Gymnastics Association
- Reception at the Piraeus Yacht Club (TBD)
The Wedding of Prince Philippos and Princess Nina is the first Greek Royal Wedding in the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens since that of his parents, King Constantine II of Greece and Princess Anne-Marie of Denmark, in 1964, and the first Greek Royal Event in the Cathedral since the Christening of his brother, Crown Prince Pavlos, in 1967, just a few months before the end of the Greek Monarchy. Seven Kings and Thirteen Queens were among the Royal Guests and Relatives at the Wedding of Prince Philippos’ brother, Crown Prince Pavlos, in 1995, and the Weddings of Princess Alexia in 1999 and Prince Nikolaos in 2010 had equally as impressive guest lists so there is no doubt, pandemic permitting, there will a massive royal gathering!
