Queen Victoria Eugenie’s Emerald Brooch

Today marks the Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain, who was born on this day in 1887! Queen Ena had a splendid jewellery collection, pilled with family heirlooms and contemporary acquisitions and commissions. Princess of Asturias Awards 2023

The Princess of Asturias was joined by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, Queen Sofia, and Infanta Sofia in Oviedo this week to preside over the 2023 Princess of Asturias Awards, to deliver a series of prizes to individuals, entities or companies from around the world who make notable achievements in the sciences, humanities, and public affairs.  Established in 1980, the Princess of Asturias Foundation is a private non-profit institution, whose objectives are to contribute to the exaltation and promotion of how many scientific, cultural and humanistic values are universal heritage and consolidate their links to the Principality of Asturias. Wedding of the Duchess of Medinaceli

Royal and Noble Guests from around Europe have gathered in Jerez de la Frontera to celebrate the Wedding of Princess Victoria of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, the 20th Duchess of Medinaceli and Maxime Corneille on October 14th, with a bitter property dispute preventing the Duchess from marrying in any of the spectacular family residences of which she is Head. Wedding of Infanta Maria Francisca de Bragança

 Infanta Maria Francisca de Bragança, Duchess of Coimbra, the only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Braganza, married Duarte de Sousa Araújo Martins at the Basílica Palácio de Mafra inside the Palácio Nacional de Mafra on October 7th, which is the first Portuguese Royal Wedding in over a quarter of a century. The Wedding was followed by a Gala Dinner hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Braganza in the grounds of their House in São Pedro de Sintra.
