Following the Wedding of Princess Margriet of The Netherlands and Pieter van Vollenhoven in The Hague on this day in 1967, the newlyweds joined the extended Dutch Royal Family as well as many Foreign Royal Guests for a Gala Performance at the Circusgebouw Scheveningen, held before the newlyweds departed on their Honeymoon. The Foreign Royal Guests included Crown Princess Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark, Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, Princess Christina of Sweden, Countess Mountbatten, and Lady Elizabeth Anson.
