Queen’s Christmas Lunch at Buckingham Palace

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh hosted their annual Christmas Lunch for members of the extended British Royal Family at Buckingham Palace on December 19th. This lunch is held for those family members who aren’t invited to spend Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham in Norfolk, due to lack of space. Royal Air Force Centenary

Members of the British Royal Family attended a series of events marking the centenary of the Royal Air Force in London on July 10th, with a service in Westminster Abbey, followed by a parade in The Mall and spectacular flypast over Buckingham Palace. The Royal Air Force (RAF) – the world’s first independent air force – was founded on 1 April 1918, independent of the British Army and Royal Navy.
