Originally scheduled for March, the visit was delayed due to political riots in Paris, though the King and Queen did continue the State Visit to Germany as planed.

King Charles III was officially welcomed by the Royal Regiment of Scotland and members of the public as he arrived at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire on August 21st, to take up residence for the Royal Family’s annual Summer Holiday.
