Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives and Heads of State and Representatives of 121 Countries joined the British Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.
Ahead of the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for visiting Heads of State and Representatives at Buckingham Palace, which is stated to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State in History. Foreign Royal Guests joined the Norwegian Royal Family for Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th Birthday Banquet at the Royal Palace in Oslo on June 17th, as part of her delayed 18th Birthday Celebrations. Royal Families from around the world joined the British Royal Family for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Memorial Service at Westminster Abbey on March 29th, to celebrate the life and legacy of the extraordinary public figure that was HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, after his Funeral last April had to be modified due to the Pandemic.
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden are hosting King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain on their State Visit to Sweden from November 23rd to the 25th, to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties in the first Spanish State Visit to Sweden in over 40 years. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and King Felipe VI of Spain are both descended through Queen Victoria from their respective grandmother, Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden, and great-grandmother, Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain.
