Royal Ascot 2022 | Day 5

The British Royal Family attended the fifth and final day of races at the Ascot Racecourse on June 18th. Royal Ascot is a permanent fixture on the British Royal Family’s June calendar. The Queen has attended all five days of the horse-racing event since 1953, though she was only present for one day in 2021 and so far not present this year. The Duke of Kent was joined by Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Dudgeon, and Mr. George Broughton in the first Carriage, Princess Beatrice and Count Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were with Professor and Mrs Douglas Antczak in the second Carriage, Sir Michael and Lady Rake and Mr. and Mrs Guy Henderson in the third Carriage, and Lieutenant Colonel and Mrs. Thomas White with Mr. Toby Lawes and Ms Clare Alexander in the final Carriage, for the procession from Windsor Castle to the Ascot Racecourse in horse-drawn landaus, before the Royal Family and their guests spent the day in the Royal Enclosure. Peter Phillips and Lindsay Wallace were also present.

  1. I am so glad to see Princess Beatrice attending so many royal functions of late. She and her husband Count Edoardo make such a handsome couple! And the Duke of Kent was in great form too, quite dapper in his Ascot finery. It’s so sad that this is the final day!
