Queen Margrethe II of Denmark attended her Golden Jubilee Celebration at the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen on May 21st, which began with a walk down the Main Avenue, where the Tivoli Gardens Garden Guard had lined up on each side. Afterwards, the Queen inspected an anniversary exhibition showing a small selection of costumes, sketches and illustrations she has designed for five different performances, followed by a visit to the Pantomime Theater, the Tivoli’s Tailor’s Hall, the Skræddersalen, where the Queen planted a tree to mark the Jubilee, the Parterrehaven, and on to The Flying Suitcase, where the Queen took a trip in the historical amusement and had a journey through Hans Christian Andersen’s adventures. Then, the Queen went down The Old Slide, built in 1914, before the Queen cut a special cake based on the performances that the Queen has been involved in at Tivoli, which was followed by a lunch for special guests organized by Tivoli.

In the evening, Queen Margrethe (wearing her Wedding Earrings) was joined by Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte (wearing her Amethyst Suite) for a Golden Jubilee Ballet Gala Perfromance in the Tivoli Concert Hall.
