Wedding Banquet of the Shah of Iran and Princess Fawzia of Egypt, 1939

The Iranian and Egyptian Royal Families celebrated the Wedding of Crown Prince Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and Princess Fawzia of Egypt (wearing her Van Cleef & Arpels Tiara and Necklace) with a Banquet in Tehran on this day in 1939, the last of a series of festivities in Tehran, which included another Banquet, and followed the Wedding and a Banquet in Cairo. Royal attendees included Queen Mother Nazli of Egypt (in her Van Cleef & Arpels Parure), Queen Tadj ol-Molouk of Iran (wearing her Diamond TiaraPrincess Alice, Countess of Athlone (wearing her Diamond Palmette Tiara), the Duke of Aosta, Princess Shams Pahlavi, Princess Ashraf Pahlavi among the extended Iranian Royal Family and Royal Court.
