Wedding of Princess Hélène d’Orléans and Count Evrard de Limburg Stirum, 1957

The Wedding of Princess Hélène d’Orléans (wearing a Dior Gown and the Countess of Paris’ Action Française Tiara), daughter of the Count of Paris and and Princess Isabelle of Orléans-Braganza, and Count Evrard de Limburg Stirum, son of Count Thierry François-Xavier de Limburg Stirum and Princess Marie-Immaculée de Croÿ, at the Chapelle Royale de Dreux on this day in 1957, the first wedding among the children of the Count and Countess of Paris. The couple had four children, residing in Rhodesia for a period before moving to the Kasteel de Limburg Stirum in Huldenberg in Belgium, where Count Evrard served as the Mayor of Huldenberg, before passing away in 2001.

Among the 220 Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance were Queen Frederica of Greece (wearing her Pearl and Diamond Necklace and Queen Sophia’s Ruby Brooch) with Crown Prince Constantine and Princess Sofia, Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg, the Countess of Barcelona and Prince Juan Carlos of Spain, the Prince of Naples, Princess Alexandra of Kent, Princess Margherita of Savoy, Archduchess of Austria-Este.
