Princess Elizabeth (acting as Prince Florizel) and Princess Margaret (taking the role of the Cinderella) star in the Christmas Pantomime of ‘Cinderella’ at Windsor Castle on this day in 1941, during the Second World War. The two Princesses acted in several annual Christmas Pantomimes at Windsor during the course of the War, and funds from the show went towards the Royal Household Wool Fund which provided comforts for the troops.
