The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall were on an Official Visit to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from November 16th to the 18th, at the invitation of the Jordanian Royal Family and at the request of the British Government, to celebrate the Centenary of Jordan and the UK-Jordan bilateral relationship.

Upon arrival in the RAF Voyager, using Sustainable Aviation Fuel for the first time, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall were formally welcomed by King Abdullah II and Queen Rania at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, which was followed by a meeting between the two delegations to discuss the UK-Jordan bilateral relationship while Queen Rania drove the Duchess of Cornwall to her project, the Queen Rania Family and Children Centre (QRFCC), in her Tesla.

In the evening, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania hosted a Dinner in honour of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, which was also attended by Princess Sarvath and Princess Sumaya.

On the second day of the visit, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited the important and historic site of Umm Qais, dating back over 2,400 years, which has been restored by Turquoise Mountain, a Charity founded by the Prince to revive historic areas and traditional crafts, to provide jobs, skills and a renewed sense of pride. The Prince visited the Nuzha Community Centre in East Amman while the Duchess went to the Princess Taghreed Secondary Girls School and the Manara Arts and Culture Centre.

In the evening, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall attended a ‘Centenary Celebration’ Reception at the Jordan Museum, to highlight the depth and breadth of this 100 year relationship and look forward to the next century of relations working together for our mutual benefit.

On November 18th, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall departed Jordan from the Queen Alia International Airport to fly to Egypt where they will continue their Tour for to more days.

Rania Al Abdullah Is a Gorgeous Woman
Lovely visit! King Abdullah is a graduate of Sandhurst University. He even addressed and presided the graduation ceremonies as Queen Elizabeth’s representative back in 2017. The friendly ties between the two countries are quite strong and Prince Charles and the Duchess’ visit serves to keep them strong. The ladies looked great! I especially liked Camilla’s gorgeous mint green gown and Queen Rania’s amazing brooch at the gala dinner. And I think I saw Princess Sarvath al-Hassan in the background, looking quite lovely in an embellished gown.
