The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester (wearing the Gloucester Diamond Necklace Tiara) and the Duchess of Kent (wearing the Kent Festoon Tiara) joined Queen Elizabeth (wearing Queen Victoria’s Oriental Circlet Tiara and the Crown Ruby Parure) and Princess Margaret for the Royal Film Performance of ‘Where No Vultures Fly’ at the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square in London on this day in 1951. Coming just days after the Royal Variety Performance, King George VI was terminally-ill, recovering from an operation in the last few months of his life, while Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh were on an extensive Tour of Canada.
