The Queen attended Champions Day at the Ascot Racecourse on October 16th, presenting the trophy after the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Race during the Qipco British Champions Day. The Queen also received a special memento from Her Majesty’s Representative at Ascot, Sir Francis Brooke Bt., to mark her induction into the British Champions Series Hall of Fame, the official Hall of Fame for British Flat racing. The Queen becomes the first person to become a member of the Hall of Fame within the Special Contributor category, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to British Flat racing. The Queen only attended one day of the Royal Ascot meeting in the summer.

  1. The Queen looked fantastic! She’s even wearing a four-strand pearl necklace instead of her usual 2-strand which is quite unusual. She must have thought it was very special to have been named to the British Champions Series Hall of Fame, no doubt due to her unabiding love of horses and dedication to everything equine. They couldn’t have found a more fitting first honoree for the hall!
