The Queen was joined by the Princess Royal at the Service of Thanksgiving marking the Centenary of the Royal British Legion at Westminster Abbey on October 12th, to celebrate the Centenary and 100 years of supporting the Armed Forces community. Founded in the aftermath of the First World War, the Legion’s mission was to fight for the rights of those who had given so much in the service of their country and come back to so little. Today, the RBL continues to stand with the Armed Forces community so that all those who have served get the fair treatment and recognition they deserve. The special service of thanksgiving was also attended by 1,200 guests from across the Armed Forces community including serving personnel, veterans and their families, as well as members, supporters, staff and volunteers.
God Bless Queen Elizabeth II
God Bless Anne, Princess Royal
