Wedding of the Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe

The Wedding of Alexander, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe, Head of the House of Schaumburg-Lippe, and Mahkameh Navabi at the Bückeburger Stadtkirche on October 9th, followed by a Reception at Schloss Bückeburg. Prince Alexander was previously married to Princess Marie Luise “Lilly” of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (the Maid of Honour) from 1993 to 2002 and Nadja Anna Zsoeks from 2007 to 2018.

Royal Guets and Relatives in attendance included Archduke Karl von Habsburg, the Prince of Prussia, Prince Guillaume and Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, the Earl and Countess of St. Andrews, Prince Ernst August and Princess Ekaterina of Hanover, Duchess Elisabeth in Bavaria, Prince Manuel and Princess Anna of Bavaria, the Prince and Princess zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, as well as Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission.

In the evening, the Prince and new Princess of Schaumburg-Lippe hosted a spectacular Wedding Ball at Schloss Bückeburg which also included a splendid torchlight Parade. Guests pictured Princess Lilly of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (wearing the Schaumburg-Lippe Sapphire Parure), Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg (wearing her Art Deco Tiara), Prince Ernst August and Princess Ekaterina of Hanover, Duchess Elisabeth in Bavaria (wearing Queen Marie Therese’s Diamond and Pearl Tiara), Princess Anna of Bavaria (in the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Diamond Tiara) and the Princess zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg (in the Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg Emerald Tiara) among many others.

The Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe and Mahkameh Navabi got married in a Civil Ceremony at Schloss Bückeburg in September 2020, at which Princess Lilly of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (Prince Alexander’s first wife) was the bridesmaid.

The new Princess of Schaumburg-Lippe wore the spectacular Schaumburg-Lippe Palmette Tiara, which was worn by his mother as well as his two first wives at their Weddings in 1955, 1993, and 2007 respectively.
