Queen Margrethe was joined by Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, and Princess Benedikte as they attended the opening session of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) at the Parliament Hall (Folketingssalen) of Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen on October 5th. The Royal Family have no active role during the ceremony and thus observed the proceedings from the Royal Box.
