  1. This is amazing! To have the pretender to the Russian throne marrying in St. Petersburg Cathedral was no doubt a far away dream just a few decades ago. If you add to that the fact that they had a reception at the Vladimir Castle with hundreds of royal guests in attendance, it becomes surreal. It’s true that most everyone there is using their royal titles in pretense, but the lineage is certainly there. The bride looked lovely, very elegant. Her choice of earrings was right on point. My only quibble is that I would have used a different hairstyle, perhaps one with more volume in front due to the tiara that she chose. But that is a detail. She looked lovely and very happy, which is what matters. The GD looked very elegant as well. I wish them every happiness as they embark on their journey together!

  2. The article above states: “Royal Guests and Relatives were headed by Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna, Prince Franz Wilhelm and Princess Nadia of Prussia,” yet, with all my searching I can NOT find George’s father and step-mother!

  3. I like your site, and learn much from it…But!
To show so many photos from a bogus “roay;” family? George Hohenzollern is NOT Tsarevitch…because he is Not the son of a Tsar. He isn’t even Really a Grand Duke. His mother is not technically a Grand Duchess… being the grand-daughter of a Grand Duke… she is a Princess. Her grandfather sceded all rights when he betrayed the Last Tsar at the time of the revolution.

    1. Maria Vladimirovna is a Princess, not a Grand Duchess. The last grand duchess of Russia was Nicholas II’s younger sister Olga Alexandrovna, who died on 24th November 1960, in Toronto, Canada
