The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were joined by the Queen Mother, Prince and Princess of Wales, Viscount Linley and Lady Sarah Armstrong Jones at the Braemar Highland Games on this day in 1981, during the Royal Family’s annual Holiday at Balmoral Castle. The newlywed Prince and Princess of Wales spent a portion of their honeymoon with the Royal Family at Balmoral.
