The Queen has arrived at Balmoral Castle for her annual summer break, after staying in a smaller house on the Balmoral Estate for the past few days. In a small ceremony outside the Castle gates, the Queen inspected a Guard of Honour formed by the Balaklava Company of the 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland. Also present was the Royal Regiment of Scotland’s Mascot, Shetland Pony Lance Corporal Cruachan IV. The Queen is expected to remain at Balmoral until October, and like previous years, members of the Royal Family are expected to come visit them for a few days, though unlike the past 70 years, she will not be joined by the late Duke of Edinburgh.
