Prince Juan Carlos and Princess Sofia of Spain were joined by her brother and sister-in-law, King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, as they went to see a race at the Circuito del Jarama Racetrack in Madrid on this day in 1971. King Constantine and Queen Anne Marie, then exiled in Rome, visited the Spanish Royal Family at the Zarzuela Palace, while Prince Juan Carlos had been appointed the successor to the Spanish dictator, General Franco.
Wow! They look so very excellent, all four of them! It was a totally different era, almost like a different world.
