The Wedding of Prince Karl of Hesse, son of Prince Christoph of Hesse and Princess Sophie of Greece and Denmark, and Countess Yvonne Szapary von Muraszombath Széchysziget und Szapár, the daughter of Count Béla Szapary von Muraszombath Széchysziget und Szapár and Baroness Ursula von Richthofen, at the Grote of Sint-Jacobskerk in The Hague on this day in 1966, following a magnificent Ball at Schloss Friedrichshof in Kronberg. This came just a month after the lavish celebrations for the Wedding of Crown Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands. The couple have two children, Prince Christoph and Princess Irina, who is married to the Count of Schönburg-Glauchau.
