The Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen Leaf Brooch features pave-set diamond leaves within a design of gold leaves, with the modern headpiece coming from Ole Lynggaard’s ‘Petit Frost’ collection. The larger headpiece is very versatile and can be worn as a smaller brooch and probably a few other configurations, created by Charlotte Lynggaard from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, one of the most well known and talented jewellery designers, who also made Crown Princess Mary’s Midnight Tiara.

The striking Ole Lynggaard Hairpiece first made an appearance at King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden’s 70th Birthday Banquet in 2016, when it was worn instead of a Tiara. The Hairpiece was paired with Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen Lotus Earrings and the Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen Winter Frost Ring, and made such an impression that an Ole Lynggaard Hairpiece was worn by Princess Sofia of Sweden for the Canadian State Visit to Sweden a few months later.

In 2017, Crown Princess Mary wore a smaller version of the Ole Lynggaard Hairpiece as a Brooch at the start of the King Philippe and Queen Mathilde’s State Visit to Denmark. Two months later, she wore the Brooch again for a Business Visit to Sweden, during which Crown Princess Mary and Crown Princess Victoria visited the Ole Lynggaard Store in Stockholm.
