With the pandemic making a traditional #christmasconcert impossible, the Belgian Royals offer a #Scala concert (Mathilde is a longtime fan) that will be broadcast on National TV at Christmas Day. And there's an extra: Eléonore & Emmanuel both give it their best too! pic.twitter.com/J5ulgcWMwl

— Queen Mathilde Blog (@BlogMathilde) December 17, 2020King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium (wearing Queen Fabiola’s Tunisian Earrings) were joined by Crown Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore for the annual Christmas Concert (Kerstconcert) in the Throne Room of the Royal Palace of Brussels on December 16th. The Concert thanks the members of the Royal Household who contributed to the smooth running of the Royal activities in 2020 and paid tribute to all Protected Court suppliers of Belgium. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year’s concert was recorded to be broadcast on December 20th, and includes performances by Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore alongside the Scala Choir.
King Philippe’s and Queen Mathilde’s kids are so sweet and talented! I know Prince Gabriel is a talented football player (though he had to give it up for his studies) and I remember listening to Princess Eleonore playing the violin for her father’s birthday and she sounded pretty good! I did not know that Prince Emmanuel played the saxophone, so I’m wondering, do you know if this concert will be available for viewing outside of Belgium? I would be interested in watching it!
