  1. The Gold and Diamond Earclips are way too big to be comfortable as earrings. They need to be pared down a bit and the remaining diamonds fashined into a bracelet or a ring. The Sapphire and Diamond brooch looks suspiciously like Prince Albert’s brooch to Queen Victoria, which then does seem to have belonged to Princess Mary, Princess Royal. What I liked best in the whole auction is the Ruby and Diamond tiara. Judging by the photos, it can be worn as a nice diadem without any fuss!
