Happy Birthday to Princess Shahnaz Pahlavi of Iran, who turns 80 today! The only daughter of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi of Iran and Princess Fawzia of Egypt, she is also a niece of King Farouk of Egypt. Educated at the Lycée Léonie de Waha in Liège in Belgium and then in Switzerland, in 1957, at the age of sixteen, she married to Ardeshir Zahedi, later the Iranian Foreign Minister and the Iranian Ambassador to the United States and the United. The couple had one daughter before their divorce in 1964, and in 1971, Princess Shahnaz later married Khosrow Jahanbani, and the couple had two children, remaining married until his death in 2014. Since the Iranian Revolution, Princess Shahnaz has lived in Switzerland, and unlike Empress Farah or her other siblings, she does not have a public presence.
