King Constantine and Queen Anne Marie of Greece celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary with a Gala Dinner at the Yacht Club in Athens on this day in 2014, where they were joined by their children and grandchildren as well as a variety of Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance, including Queen Margarethe of Denmark, Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Queen Sofia of Spain and Infanta Elena, Duchess of Lugo, King Simeon and Queen Margarita of Bulgaria, Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu of Romania, and Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia.

The evening before, King Constantine and Queen Anne Marie of Greece were joined by their family and some royal guests for a Dinner at the Acropolis in Athens. King Constantine of Greece married Princess Anne-Marie of Denmark in Athens on this day in 1964. The couple celebrated their Silver Anniversary in Denmark in 1989, and their 50th Anniversary celebrations were their first major celebration after their permanent return to Greece following decades of exile.
