Happy Birthday to the Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur! The eldest son of Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur, the only daughter of Maharaja Bhawani Singh of Jaipur and Princess Padmini Devi of Sirmur, and Narendra Singh, Thikana Kothara of Shivad, Padmanabh Singh has a younger sister, Rajkumari Gauravi Kumari, and brother, the Maharaja of Sirmur, and is a godson of the Prince of Wales. In 2002, he was adopted by his grandfather as his heir, succeeding as the titular 303rd Maharaja of Jaipur after his death in 2012.

Educated at Mayo College in Ajmer and at Millfield School in Somerset, he then studied liberal arts at New York University before studying art at a private university in Rome. Maharaja Padmanabh Singh gained the sole responsibility of his family estate upon reaching the age of 18, which includes numerous Palaces, Hotels, Museums and trusts worth between between $697 million and $2.8 billion, and also carries out a number of traditional and ceremonial functions from the City Palace in Jaipur. Continuing a family tradition, the Maharaja is an accomplished polo player, having been a member of Guards Polo Club, in 2017, he led the Indian national team at Hurlingham Park.
