Prince Carl-Phillip and Princess Sofia shared a video of them hoisting the Swedish flag at Villa Solbacken while Princess Madeleine shared a picture with her children at home in Florida.

In the evening, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia returned to the Royal Palace of Stockholm, from where the King gave a speech:

Today we are flagging for Sweden – but around our country it has been flagged on half bar more than usual this spring. It has been a difficult time for many. Thousands have lost close relatives and friends. Others have lost their livelihood. Baptisms, weddings and funerals – important ceremonies in life – have been canceled. And the future may feel uncertain. Not least for those students who are now going to take their first steps into adulthood. Admirable and heroic efforts have been made by many, in different parts of society. No one mentioned no one forgot. A big thank you to you all! “
