Princess of Wales’ Antique Diamond Earrings

Happy Birthday to the Duchess of Cambridge, who turns 38 today! The future Queen Consort has worn a variety of antique jewels, and to mark the day, we are taking a look at her Antique Diamond Earrings.

Featuring a diamond pendant surrounded by a cluster of diamonds and suspended from a diamond cluster, the Antique Diamond Earrings have no known provenance, but are quite likely heirlooms from the Queen’s collection. The earrings first appeared on the Queen at the 2012 State Opening of Parliament and she wore them the following year at the Order of the Garter Service.

The Antique Diamond Earrings are now loaned to the Duchess of Cambridge, who first wore them at the Place2Be Awards in 2016, and other notable appearences include the Diplomatic Reception, the Trooping of the Colour, the RAF Centenary, and the recent NATO Reception last month. The Queen’s Antique Diamond Earrings, along with Princess Diana’s Collingwood Pearl Earrings, have become favourites of the Duchess in recent years, and there is no doubt we will continue to see them for years to come!

UPDATE: The Earrings were worn in the Duchess’ 40th Birthday Portraits in 2022!
