The Nobel Laureates received their Nobel Medal, Nobel Diploma and a document confirming the Nobel Prize amount from King Carl XVI Gustaf in the Prize Ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall. This year’s laureates were: William G. Kaelin, Sir Peter J. Ratcliffe, and Gregg L. Semenza in Physiology or Medicine, James Peebles, Michel Mayor, and Didier Queloz in Physics, John B. Goodenough, M. Stanley Whittingham, and Akira Yoshino in Chemistry, Olga Tokarczuk (2018) and Peter Handke (a very controversial and disgraceful choice) in Literature, and Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo, and Michael Kremer in Economic Sciences. Only Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel joined the King and Queen on the stage, while Prince Carl-Phillip, Princess Sofia, and Princess Madeleine sat in the audience.
