Princess Grace was first pictured in her Cartier Diamond Necklace at her pre-wedding gala, and then wore it in a series of iconic portraits, a State Visit to France, a State Visit to the Vatican, and a series of Banquets, Balls and Galas up until the untimely end of her life, making it one of her most iconic jewels, often paired with her Diamond Tiara and Bains de Mer Tiara.

After Princess Grace’s death, the Cartier Diamond Necklace passed into the ‘Palais Princier Collection’, and has been exhibited around the world. It has been worn her elder daughter, Princess Caroline, and was worn most recently by her granddaughter, Charlotte Casiraghi, for a Gala following her Civil Wedding earlier this year.
