Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Pakistan- Day 4

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on an Official Visit to Pakistan at the request of the British Foreign Office, from October 14-17, to promote and celebrate British-Pakistani ties. The visit will pay respect to the historical relationship between Britain and Pakistan, but will largely focus on showcasing Pakistan as it is today — a dynamic, aspirational and forward-looking nation. Later, the Duke and Duchess visited the Badshahi ‘Imperial’ Masjid, the second largest masjid in Pakistan with a capacity for 100,000 people, built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1671. They attended an interfaith meeting before visiting the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, founded by Prime Minister Imran Khan and opened by the late Princess Diana in 1997, visiting the children ward, where they spent time with patients undergoing treatment. Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge flew back to Islamabad on the RAF Voyager, which had to return to Lahore as it could not land in Islamabad due to a fierce storm.
