The Engagement of Prince George, Duke of Kent, youngest son of King George V and Queen Mary, and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna of Russia, at Balmoral Castle on this day in 1934. The couple got married in November.
