The Danish Royal Family pose for a series of formal portraits by Rigmor Mydtskov at Fredensborg Palace on this day in 1964, their last joint family portraits ahead of the Wedding of Princess Anne Marie to King Constantine of Greece the following month.
King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid (in the Danish Ruby Parure) were joined by Crown Princess Margrethe (wearing the Alexandrine Drop Tiara), Princess Benedikte (in her Floral Tiara), and Princess Anne Marie (wearing her Van Cleef & Arpels Ruby Necklace and Queen Ingrid’s Diamond Stars, Queen Frederica’s Diamond Clip Bracelet).
The Danish Royal Family also posted for a series of less formal portraits at Fredensborg Palace, which were taken by the famed Lord Lichfield.
