Peruvian State Visit to Spain

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain welcomed and hosted President Martín Alberto Vizcarra Cornejo and the First Lady Maribel Díaz Cabello of Peru, on a 2-day State Visit to Spain to strengthen political, economic, and diplomatic ties, on March 27 and 28. In the morning, King Felipe and Queen Letizia officially welcomed President Martín Alberto Vizcarra Cornejo and the First Lady Maribel Díaz Cabello of Peru at an Official Welcome ceremony in the courtyard of the Royal Palace in Madrid. During the ceremony, the King and the President reviewed a battalion of the Royal Guard and viewed a parade. Later, the Spanish Royal Couple hosted a luncheon at the Palace of La Zarzuela, which was followed by a meeting with the Peruvian delegation.

In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a State Banquet in honour of the President President Martín Alberto Vizcarra Cornejo and the First Lady Maribel Díaz Cabello at the Royal Palace of Madrid. Both the King and President gave speeches.

King Felipe wore a dark suit with a red striped tie. Queen Letizia wore a floral dress and a cream coat. For the Banquet, King Felipe wore White Tie with the Order of the Golden Fleece and the Order of Merit for Distinguished Service. Queen Letizia wore a repeated Felipe Varela gown with the Floral Tiara, her Wedding Earrings, Joyas de Pasar Bracelet, and the Order of Merit for Distinguished Service.
