The Funeral of the Count of Paris, Head of the House of Orléans and the Orléanist pretender to the French throne, at the Royal Chapel of Saint Louis de Dreux on February 2nd. Royal Attendees included the new Count and Countess of Paris (son and daughter-in-law), Duchess Marie-Thérèse of Württemberg, Duchess of Montpensier (former wife), Princess Hélène, Countess of Limburg-Stirum (sister), Prince Jacques, Duke of Orléans (brother), Diane, Duchess of Württemberg (sister), Prince Michel, Count of Évreux (brother), the Duke of Anjou (nephew), Princess Claude (sister), Princess Chantal, Baroness de Sambucy de Sorgue (sister), Queen Sofia of Spain, Prince Albert II of Monaco, Crown Prince Moulay Hassan of Morocco, Empress Farah of Iran, Princess Lea of Belgium, Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, Archduke Karl and Archduke Georg von Habsburg, the Duke of Parma, the Duke and Duchess of Castro, Princess Maria Carolina, and Princess Maria Chiara of the Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Grand Duke Georgi of Russia, Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, Prince Leka of Albania, Prince Mohamed Ali Farouk of Egypt and Princess Noal Zaher Shah of Afghanistan, Prince Philip and Princess Isabelle of Lichtenstein among a host of Royal and Noble Guests.

  1. That was quite an array of royal personages even though he was one of the pretenders of a non-existing throne. No doubt that he was well connected and well liked by many people. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
