The Duchess of Cambridge visited Family Action’s Lewisham base which provides a range of valuable community support for children and families in South London, to launch a new national support line, on January 22nd. She met families who are supported by Family Action, spent time with some young carers, met volunteers who are supporting the new FamilyLine service and also viewed the ‘Family Monsters’ campaign film that has been produced to mark Family Action’s 150th Anniversary. This visit furthers the Duchess’s research and work focusing on the support available for children in their earliest years.

  1. I think I read someplace that the Duchess’ dress is from a designer or a company that help women who had been victims of slave trade? I’m sure I read that they donate a percentage of their sales towards a charity that is set up to help them by enabling them to have businesses of their own. So if that’s true, it was such an appropriate outfit to wear to this event!
